I am commanded by my <orgName ref="org:admiralty">Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty</orgName>
to acquaint you for the information of Her Majesty's Secretary
of State for the Colonies that <persName ref="prs:baynes_rl">Rear Admiral Sir R. Baynes</persName> has
reported that upon the departure of the <name ref="vsl:satellite" type="vessel">Satellite</name> from <placeName ref="plc:vancouver_island">Vancouver's Island</placeName> for England, he had in consequence of a pressing requisition
from <persName ref="prs:douglas_j">Governor
<fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">Douglas</fw>

Douglas</persName>, ordered the discharge to the Shore
of <persName ref="prs:young_wag">M<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">r</hi> W. Young</persName>, in order that he might carry on the
duties of Colonial Secretary for <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName>.
