In reply to your letter of the 23rd Ultimo, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you for the information of the Duke of Newcastle that They will defer expressing Their opinion upon the "Cook's Ferry and Clinton Road Bond Act 1863" of British Columbia, until They have before Them the information which His Grace has called for from the Governor.
