<p>
I have the honor to transmit copy of an Account in connection
with advances made to the late Chief Commissioner of Lands and
Works during the year <date when="1863">1863</date>. It exhibits a balance against that
Officer at the close of the year of forty four pounds four shillings

2. Upon enquiry into this matter I am informed that<fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">Colonel</fw><pb facs="co_60_19/co_60_19_00285v.jpg"/> <persName ref="prs:moody_rc">Colonel

a like amount, in two sums, which had been disallowed in Military
Requisitions by my Predecessor in <date when="1858">1858</date> and <date when="1860">1860</date>. The first, three
