I have received your desp. No. 39 of the 9th of September, reporting the murder of one Indian Constable and the wounding of others by the Master and Crew of the British Sloop "Random".

I entirely approve of your neglecting no means to endeavour to obtain possession of the peoplecharged charged with these crimes, in order that they may be brought to justice.
