The <orgName ref="org:treasury">Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury</orgName> have
had before them your letter of <date when="1865-09-25">25<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> September last</date>,
enclosing Financial Returns of the Government of <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British
Columbia</placeName> for the <date from="1865-01-01" to="1865-03-31">Quarter to 31<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">st</hi> March 1865</date>.
</p>
<p>
Their Lordships desire me to request that you will
state to <persName ref="prs:cardwell">M<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">r</hi> Secretary Cardwell</persName> that They observe that,
in the General Abstract of transactions at <orgName ref="org:treasury">the Treasury</orgName>, the
amount stated as received under the head of "Revenue from
Collectors" is £958.11.4, whereas it would appear from
previous Returns, that the sums received under<fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">this</fw><pb facs="co_60_23/co_60_23_00204v.jpg"/> this head
were as follows—viz<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">t</hi>
