I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatches, enumerated in the margin, * transmitting three Ordinances passed by the Legislature of British Columbia in the month of April last entitled respectively "No. 19—"AnAn Ordinance to prevent the violation of Indian graves." "No. 20—An Ordinance to amend the Law relating to Bankruptcy and Insolvency in British Columbia," and "No. 23—An Ordinance respecting arrest and imprisonment for Debt."

I have laid these Ordinances before The Queen and Her Majesty has been pleased to confirm and allow them.

You will communicate Her Majesty's decision to the Inhabitants of the Colonyunder under your Government in the usual and most authentic manner.
