I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's
Treasury to acquaint you, for the information of the <persName ref="prs:grenville_r">Duke of
Buckingham &amp; Chandos</persName>, with reference to your letter of the
<date when="1867-07-10">10<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> Inst</date>, that My Lords have directed Their Solicitor to
settle with <persName ref="prs:reilly">M<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">r</hi> Reilly</persName> for the Fees due to him in respect of his
services in the preparation of a Bill for the Union of <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British
Columbia</placeName> &amp; <placeName ref="plc:vancouver_island">Vancouver Island</placeName>; as requested by His Grace.
