I am directed by Secretary <persName ref="prs:pakington">Sir John Pakington</persName> to acknowledge
the receipt of your letter of the <date when="1867-01-02">2<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">nd</hi> January last</date> forwarding
a despatch (No 62) from the Administrator of the Government of
<placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName> on the subject of the Arms, Accoutrements, &amp;c left
in possession of the Government of that Colony by <persName ref="prs:moody_rc">Colonel Moody</persName>,
and in reply I am to acquaint you<fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">for</fw><pb facs="co_60_31/co_60_31_00116v.jpg"/> for the information of the <persName ref="prs:carnarvon">Earl
of Carnarvon</persName> that under all the Circumstances, <persName ref="prs:pakington">Sir John Pakington</persName>
has consented to the following arrangement, the details of which
are given in the accompanying list. Viz
