 On behalf of the war department and <persName ref="prs:pakington">Pakington</persName>, <persName ref="prs:grafton_d">Grafton</persName> requests for funds owing from <q>stores supplied by the War Department for service of <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName>…to be transferred to the credit of Army Funds.</q> <persName ref="prs:cox_c">Cox</persName>’s minute suggests informing the war department that <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName>’s account with the <orgName ref="org:ocac">Crown Agents</orgName> does not have the required funds to repay the amount owed. <persName ref="prs:blake">Blake</persName>’s minute suggests seeing <q>subsequent 131/11961/67.</q>

With reference to the Letters from this office of <date when="1867-06-22">22 June</date> and
<date when="1867-07-15">15 July 1867</date> preferring a Claim on account of stores supplied
by the War Department for service of <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName> amounting to
£<hi style="text-decoration: underline;">675.2.4</hi> I am directed by Secretary <persName ref="prs:pakington">Sir John Pakington</persName> to call
your attention to the above letters, and to request that you will cause
the above amount to be transferred to the credit of Army Funds, and that
you will notify the same to this office.

the <date when="1867-07-19">19<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> July last</date>, &amp; that there are at present no <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">Columbia</placeName> monies
 in the<pb facs="co_60_31/co_60_31_00132r.jpg"/> hands of the <orgName ref="org:ocac">Crown Agents</orgName> from which payment can be made.
