Referring to my letter of the <date when="1866-12-07">7<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> December last</date> to the <persName ref="prs:carnarvon">Earl
of Carnarvon</persName>, may I request the favor of being informed whether any
reply to his Lordship's Despatch to the Governor of <placeName ref="plc:vancouver_island">Vancouver Island</placeName>
on the subject of my communication has yet been received, and when it
will be in your Grace's power to afford me some information on behalf
of the parties interested in the Settlement of <placeName ref="plc:koskimo_bay">Koskeemo</placeName>?
