Seymour forwards an Ordinance…entitled: No 2. An Ordinance for the more effectual protection of Her Majesty's Naval and Victualling Stores and the attorney general’s report on the ordinance. Holland’s minute describes the purpose of the ordinance and recommends sending it to the Admiralty.

I have the honor to forward an authenticated and two plain copies of an Ordinance of the recent Session of the Legislature of this Colony, entitled: No 2. An Ordinancefor for the more effectual protection of Her Majesty's Naval and Victualling Stores.

2. I add the report of the Attorney General.

3. This measure was brought before the Legislative Council to carry out the instructions conveyed in Your Grace's circular Despatch No 1 of the 15th March 1867.
