Seymour forwards a letter of apology from the Attorney General [of British Columbia] for the delay in sending the legal reports on British Columbia’s ordinances to Seymour. Seymour relates why this and other factors have caused a delay in Seymour transmitting British Columbia’s ordinances to the Colonial Office. Holland’s minute recommends acknowledging Seymour’s despatch.

I have the honor to forward to Your Grace copy of a letter of apology from the Attorney General for the delay which hasoccurred occurred in the transmission to me of his legal reports on the Ordinances of the last Session of the Legislature.

2. I hope that Mr Crease's explanation will be held to be satisfactory both for him and for me. I cannot send on the Ordinances without his reports, and I know that he has been very unwell. Every day I feel the inconvenience of the confusion in which thePublic Public Officers and their records have been thrown by the removal of the Seat of Government. Things are however beginning to settle down a little.
