 With the Government of <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName> having responded to the <orgName ref="org:colonial_office">Colonial Office</orgName>’s <q>Draft Ordinance regulating the constitution of the two Supreme Courts,</q> <persName ref="prs:seymour_f">Seymour</persName> transmits an ordinance <q>entitled; No. 7. An Ordinance respecting Barristers and Attorneys-at-Law [and adds] the report of the Attorney General</q> for further consideration. <persName ref="prs:robinson_w">Robinson</persName>’s minute suggests seeing <q>11069 &amp; 11070.</q> <persName ref="prs:rogers_f">Rogers</persName>’s minute recommends sanctioning <q>this [ordinance] and No 20 of <date when="1868">1868</date> (in 10810).</q>

I have had the honor to receive Your Grace's despatch No. 89 of
<date when="1867-11-20">20<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> November 1867</date>, informing me that Her Majesty's decision
on No. 20<fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">Ordinance</fw><pb facs="co_60_33/co_60_33_00391v.jpg"/> Ordinance of <date when="1867">1867</date>—
<hi style="text-align: center;">An Ordinance respecting the Legal Profession</hi>
<lb/>
will be suspended pending the action of the Legislature with
reference to the Draft Ordinance regulating the constitution of
the two Supreme Courts.

announced to Your Grace the mode in which the Legislative

plain copies of an Ordinance of the recent Session of the
