<persName ref="prs:seymour_f">Seymour</persName> forwards a memorandum from <persName ref="prs:young_wag">Young</persName> regarding reforms to how <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName> remits funds to <q>the <orgName ref="org:ocac">Agents General</orgName></q> to repay <q>the interest and Sinking Funds</q> loans. <persName ref="prs:robinson_w">Robinson</persName>’s minute suggests sending <persName ref="prs:young_wag">Young</persName>’s memorandum to the <q><orgName ref="org:ocac">Agents</orgName> &amp; <orgName ref="org:admiralty">Admiralty</orgName></q> and notes that the <orgName ref="org:treasury">Treasury</orgName>’s approval <q>would be required if the proposed arrangement was stated to be objectionable.</q> <persName ref="prs:blake">Blake</persName>’s minute suggests waiting for approval from <q>the <orgName ref="org:ocac">Agents</orgName></q> before sending to the <orgName ref="org:admiralty">Admiralty</orgName>.

I have the honor to forward for Your Grace's consideration a
Memorandum from the Acting Colonial Secretary on the subject of
the<fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">Manner</fw><pb facs="co_60_33/co_60_33_00398v.jpg"/> Manner in which remittances to the Agents General on account
of the interest and Sinking Funds of our loans might in his
opinion most conveniently be made.
</p>
<p>
2. <persName ref="prs:young_wag">M<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">r</hi> Young</persName>'s plan appears to me free from objection and I
may add that we are under no particular obligations for Services
rendered by the Banks in the Colony.
