I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to transmit herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of a letter from Rr Admiral, Honle G. Hastings, dated the 16th Ulto No 92, relative to the murder of some Indians in British Columbia and the steps proposed to be taken bythe the Admiral, in concert with the Governor, to discover the Murderers.

Sir F. Rogers This has crossed your letter sending to the Admiralty a copy of the Governor's despatch (7430) reporting these Murders. It remains to be seen what action the GovrGovernor will take on the matter.

Ackn. receipt & say that the Duke of Buckingham learns with much satisfaction that Admiral Hastings has expressed his readiness to cooperate with the GovrGovernor in arresting the Murderers.

Ackn. receipt of the Govrs despatch 7430 & say that from a communication recdreceived from the Admiralty his Grace has learned with much satisfaction &c—& add that the GovrGovernor will of course not fail to report the result of the steps he may have taken for arresting the Murderers?
