I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to transmit herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, Extracts of a letter from Rear Admiral Hastings, dated the 14th Ultimo No 117, reporting the "Sparrowhawk" having left on a visit to the northern parts of British Columbia; and the LordBishop Bishop of British Columbia having been granted a passage in the "Scout."
