Law informs the Colonial Office that Law asked the Commissioners of Customs to furnish a fresh Report on the British Columbia Ordinance No 18 of 1867 to amend the duties of Customs. Cox’s minute states that Law’s despatch is an answer to our arrear List reminder. Blake’s minute suggests seeing Treasy/9147.

The Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury have had before them your letter of June 8th calling attention to the British Columbia Ordinance No 18 of 1867 "to amend the duties of Customs" which was enclosed in your letter of Jany 10th last.

I am to state that My Lords have called upon the Commissioners of Customs to furnish a fresh Report upon the subject of this Ordinance. A copy of theirReport Report will be forwarded for the information of the Secretary of State, as soon as it has been received.
