Law informs the Colonial Office that the War Department has issued the paymaster general to repay £164.10.1 to the account of the Crown Agents for the Colonies at the Bank of England, which was an amount the War Department originally owed the Government of British Columbia for out pensions of Chelsea Hospital. Cox’s minute suggests informing the Crown Agents.

I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of State, with reference to the letter from this Department of [blank] July, that a Warrant has been issued by the Secretary of State for War on 16th ulto to the Paymaster General for repayment of the sum of £164.10.1 to the account of the Crown Agents for the Colonies at the Bank of England, being theamount amount of advances made in 1867 by the Government of British Columbia for out pensions of Chelsea Hospital.
