With reference to my despatch No. 136 of <date when="1868-12-21">21<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">st</hi> December 1868</date>,
announcing the opening of the Legislative Session, I have now
the honor to add that everything<fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">has</fw><pb facs="co_60_35/co_60_35_00165v.jpg"/> has progressed satisfactorily.
All the Bills in which I felt an interest have been passed and I
hope to be able to prorogue the Council on Saturday the <date when="1869-02-13">13<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> Instant</date>.
</p>

2. I am pressing on business in every way, inasmuch as the
Spring is well advanced and it is desirable that the Magistrates
should return to their respective Districts.
