With reference to my despatch No. 136 of 21st December 1868, announcing the opening of the Legislative Session, I have now the honor to add that everythinghas has progressed satisfactorily. All the Bills in which I felt an interest have been passed and I hope to be able to prorogue the Council on Saturday the 13th Instant.

2. I am pressing on business in every way, inasmuch as the Spring is well advanced and it is desirable that the Magistrates should return to their respective Districts.
