I am directed by the Earl of Clarendon to submit to you for the information of Earl Granville, copies of a Correspondence as marked in the margin, * upon the subject of the alleged encroachment of the Agents of the Hudson's Bay Company, on the territory and trade of Alaska.

This seems enough. The American Government complained of encroachment on Alaska, by the Hudson's Bay Company—& the result is that the Company have ordered the withdrawal of their establishment on the River Youcon—the special case complained of. FRS 14 May G 15/5
