I have the honor to forward to Your Lordship an authenticated
and two plain copies of an Ordinance passed by the Legislative
Council entitled—
<milestone unit="section" rend=".ind on"/>
An Ordinance to assimilate and amend the Law relating to Bills
of Sale.
<milestone unit="section" rend=".ind off"/>
</p>
<p>
2. The measure is one<fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">of</fw><pb facs="co_60_38/co_60_38_00464v.jpg"/> of many necessary to consolidate the Laws
heretofore in force in the two sections of the now united
Colony. I am not aware of any objection to it, and the Attorney
General, in his Report which I annex, recommends it for confirmation.

Sanction, but point out that it is not correct to repeal an
Imperial Act as is done by the first section, but to enact that
the Imperial Act shall no longer be in force within the Colony.
