I am instructed to state that a Deputation of Directors from the Company are desirous of waiting upon you on the subject of Mail communication with British Columbia, in extension of the line now existing to Colon, and I am respectfully to solicit the favor of your granting them an interview in reference thereto.

If quite convenient to yourself the Deputation will be happy to wait on you on Monday next at two o'clock.
