I transmit for your information a copy of a letter from Rear Admiral Sir M. Seymour, dated Calcutta—27th of October and addressed to the Secretary to the Admiralty, reporting his intention to despatch Her Majesty's Ship "Tribune" from China to Vancouvers Island with 150 Royal Marines on board.
