of once the Oregon Boundary Commission is finished using them. The <orgName ref="org:admiralty">Admiralty</orgName> is also <q>desirous to possess</q>
an <q><name type="ip" subtype="group">Indian</name> Reserve of about 50 acres</q> that is nearby.

With reference to my despatch No. 5 of the <date when="1860-02-02">2<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">nd</hi> of February</date> I
transmit for your information copies of a correspondence with the Board
of <orgName ref="org:admiralty">Admiralty</orgName> relative to the transfer of the Land and Buildings at
<placeName ref="plc:esquimalt_harbour">Esquimalt Harbor</placeName> to the <orgName ref="org:admiralty">Naval Department</orgName> when no longer required for
the use <fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">of</fw><pb facs="rg7_g8c_02/rg7_g8c_02_00135v.jpg"/>of the Oregon Boundary Commission:
and also with respect to an <name type="ip" subtype="group">Indian</name> Reserve of about 50 acres which the <orgName ref="org:admiralty">Lords Commissioners</orgName>
are desirous to possess.

at <placeName ref="plc:esquimalt">Esquimalt</placeName> purchased for the Oregon Boundary Commission be <q>secured for Naval purposes</q> once the Commission's work
was completed. In addition, <persName ref="prs:baynes_rl">Baynes</persName> suggests that <q>the section marked <name type="ip" subtype="group">Indian</name> Reserve
in the accompanying plan of <placeName ref="plc:esquimalt_harbour">Esquimalt Harbour</placeName>, about fifty acres, might hereafter be of infinite use to
the <orgName ref="org:admiralty">Admiralty</orgName>; the <name type="ip" subtype="group">Indians</name>, few in number, could easily be located elsewhere,</q>
adding that <q>the north side of <placeName ref="plc:inskip_islands">Inskip Island</placeName> would be a good site for a magazine.</q>
