I have to inform you that the Board of Admiralty have recently submitted a claim (Voucher enclosed) to be repaid the sum of 24..9..0, 30..1..4,and and 5/5 on account of Tables, Hammocks &c. supplied to H.M.S. "Tribune".

Not having, as yet received from you any information as to the necessity for the expense and the causes which have led to the delay in the repayment of the sums claimed by the Admiralty Board, I have to request to be furnished with the requisite particulars and that measures may be taken at an early period for the liquidation of theclaim claim referred to.
