I have the honour to refer your Grace to the letter which I addressed
to you on the <date when="1862-04-15">15<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> April last</date>
on the subject of the settlement of the <placeName ref="plc:vancouver_island">Vancouvers Island</placeName> Colony Accounts.
</p>
<p>
Not having been favoured with an Answer to that letter I feel
compelled to recur to the subject and to inform your Grace that as
the <orgName ref="org:hbc">Hudsons Bay Company</orgName> consider that interest is running on the
amount of their claim they trust that your Grace will see the
desirableness of having the matter brought to a settlement with as
little further delay as possible.

however, to know that £55,000 cannot be produced by the <orgName ref="org:treasury">T-y</orgName> with<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">t</hi>
