I have the honour to refer your Grace to the letter which I addressed to you on the 15th April last on the subject of the settlement of the Vancouvers Island Colony Accounts.

Not having been favoured with an Answer to that letter I feel compelled to recur to the subject and to inform your Grace that as the Hudsons Bay Company consider that interest is running on the amount of their claim they trust that your Grace will see the desirableness of having the matter brought to a settlement with as little further delay as possible.
