The <orgName ref="org:treasury">Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury</orgName> have had before
them your letter of the <date when="1863-06-15">15<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> of June last</date> enclosing copy of a
Despatch which His Grace the <persName ref="prs:newcastle">Duke of Newcastle</persName> proposes to address to
<persName ref="prs:douglas_j">Governor Douglas</persName> on the subject of the future constitutions of
<placeName ref="plc:vancouver_island">Vancouver Island</placeName> &amp; <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName>, and respecting the Civil Lists
of the two Colonies, and Their Lordships desire me to state for His
Grace's information that They see no reason to object to the
provisions embodied in the Despatch respecting the Civil Lists of the
two Colonies in question.
