I have the honor to transmit a Deed authorizing the Bishop of Columbia to occupy a portion of the Church Lands as a residence and to request you will procure the signature of His Grace The Archbishop of Canterbury to the same.

Sir F. Rogers The Land Board has had to do with this matter, & prepared the Deed & I think we might refer these papers to that Office & enquire if this instrument is all right, before obtaining the sigre of the Achbishop of Canterbury. The previous correspondence has been searched for, & is not to be found up stairs: nor does anybody seem to know where it can be. ABd 11 Oct
