In reply to your Despatch No 4 of the 2nd of September last announcing the appointment of Mr Mat[t]hew Begbie 1 to the office of Judge for the Colony of British Columbia, and instructing me to deliver the Commission enclosed in the original of your Despatch forwarded per Mr Begbie after entering the same on the records of thisGovernmentManuscript image Government, I have to state that your instructions shall receive attention immediately on Mr Begbie's arrival at this place.
