Sir,
With reference to your Letter of yesterdays date, 1 I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized to pay to Messrs Cox & Co on account of Col Moody RE the sum of £3,000 for Stores authorized to be purchased for the party of Royal Engineers for Service in British Columbia, which were not obtainable from the Tower.
