Sir,
With reference to Mr Elliot's letter of the 20th Ultimo, 1 I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you, for the information of Sir E.B. Lytton, that a Bond has been executed by Captain W.D. Gosset, himself in £2000, and two sureties in £1000 each, for the performance of the duties of Colonial Treasurer of British Columbia.
