Being desirous of obtaining a situation under Government in one of the Colonies, I take the liberty of requesting your interest for an appointment.
Presuming it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to send out Surveyors to British Columbia induces me to ask this favour as I have been in practise in that profession on my own account for the last 5 years at 16 HollesManuscript image Street Cavendish Square and should you favour Me with an appointment I shall have no difficulty in satisfying you that I am fully qualified to perform the duties required.
