Sir,
I enclose for your information a Copy of a letter from the
Archbishop of Canterbury announcing to me the munificent endowment
offered by Miss Burdett Coutts for the foundation of a See in British
Columbia, togetherwith with my reply to that communication.1
I have as you will perceive by the correspondence gladly accepted
this noble contribution to the cause of Christianity, and I rejoice to
think that the service and ministrations of the Church will not be
wanting to the early stages of Colonial life.
