Lytton requests that Douglas inform Moody that the Treasury has “sanctioned” the payment of £250 for his passage, and two servants,
to British Columbia.

I have to request that you will acquaint Colonel Moody that in
compliance with an application which he submitted to
me,

the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury have sanctioned the payment to
him of the
sum of £250 on account of the passage of himself and two
Servants to British Columbia.
