Sir,
I have the honor to communicate for your information the safe arrival at this place of Lieutenant Governor Moody, Captain Gosset, Treasurer, and Mr Cooper Harbour Master of Esquimalt, and that the two former officials were yesterday publicly installed after takingManuscript imagetaking the oaths of office, and they will immediately commence their official duties.
2. I enclose for your information a copy of the Proclamation giving publicity to the appointment and installation of Colonel Moody.
