Abstract
Despatch to London. Minutes (2).
Douglas acknowledges instructions concerning the disposal of buildings erected by Major Hawkins during the North American land border survey. As per the Colonial Office’s instructions, 23 November 1858, he is expected to sell the structures immediately and submit funds to London.

Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your Despatch of the 23rd November Last, No 48, together with its Enclosure, and I beg to acquaint you that the Instructions therein contained respecting the disposal of the Buildings which were erected at the requestManuscript imagerequest of the War Office for the accommodation of the North American Boundary Commission shall be duly attended to.
