I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your Despatch of the 3rd January 1859, No 1, acquainting me with reference to your Despatch No 49 of the 1st December that the Paymaster General had been authorized to accept and pay aManuscript imagea further Bill for One Hundred and Eighty seven pounds, fourteen shillings (£187.14.0), drawn by Captain Parsons, R.E. on account of the Detachment of Royal Engineers under his Command.
