I have duly received your Despatch No 54 of the 20th April transmitting the Copy of an Act passed by the General Assembly of New Zealand for the managementManuscript imagemanagement of the Gold Fields there.
2. I have to return you my sincere thanks for your kindness in forwarding a document which will so materially aid our legislation for the Gold Fields of British Columbia.
3. I may further express my anxiety to procure information on allManuscript imageall matters connected with the Colonies, in order that we may have the benefit of their experience in legislating for British Columbia.
