I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No 67 of the 20th May, and I have to express my gratification on learning that the measures I had adopted in reference to the treatment of the Native Races, have met with the approval of Her Majesty's Government, as well as the proposed arrangement for their future sustenance and improvement; and Her Majesty's GovernmentManuscript imageGovernment may rest assured that due care will be taken that the proposed places may in no way interfere with the progress of the white Colonists.
