My Lord Duke,
I have the honor of transmitting herewith at the request of Colonel Moody the accompanying copy of a communication from here respecting the portions of land which it may be desirable to reserve inManuscript imagein Burrard's Inlet for naval purposes, and to inform your Grace, that I will immediately enter into communications with Admiral Baynes on the subject and will direct the Commissioner of Lands and Works to make such reserves for naval purposes as the former officer may deem expedient.
