Sir,
Having laid before My Lords Commisioners of the Admiralty your letter of the 15th Inst in which you request to be informed whether This Department can furnish forms of tables or General Instructions which will enable the Governor of British Columbia to establish a series of Meteorological observations in that Colony; I am commanded by Their Lordships to acquaint you for the information of Secretary Sir E. Bulwer Lytton that this Department does possess the requisite forms &c and that the Chief of the Meteorological Department has been instructed to send a supply for one year to the Colonial Office for transmission to British Columbia.
