Romaine forwards to Merivale a copy of Captain De Courcy’s report to Rear Admiral Baynes on “the state of affairs in Vancouver's Island and British Columbia.”
In the minutes, Blackwood asks that the document be “Put by.”
The file includes De Courcy’s report to Baynes, which reports on ship locations and “proceedings” in Vancouver Island and British Columbia.

I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you herewith, for the information of Her Majesty's Secretary of State for the Colonies, a Copy of a Letter from Captain De Courcy of HM Ship Plylades, dated the 27th March, reporting on the state of affairs in Vancouver's Island and British Columbia.
