I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you herewith, for the information of Her Majesty's Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of a Letter from Rear Admiral Baynes, dated the 15th Augt No 114, with Copies of its enclosures, relative to the existence of Coal on the Shores of Burrard's Inlet in British Columbia.

If we were to send this report to the Land Board they wd probably mention this valuable fact in their annual Colonization Circular—which is the only way I know of by which we can give publicity to it.
