I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 24th March accompanying an extract of a despatch from the Governor of British Columbia, and a box containing specimens of Gold from that Colony.
I request you to offer my best thanks to Sir E. Bulwer Lytton for so valuable an addition to our Museum; and also beg you to thank him for the transmission of the Governor's remarks upon the Climate of the Colony, which will be laid before the Royal Geographical Society.
