Thomas Begbie requests that his list of law books to be sent to Judge Begbie be compared and added to a list submitted by Douglas.
The minutes agree to add the books to the list and send to British Columbia.

Begbie to Lytton
My Brother, Judge Begbie of British Columbia, has requested me
to send out to him immediately some law Books of which I append a
list. As I understand Governor Douglas has sent home a list of books
to be sent out to the Colony, and as I am not aware whether the books
I name are included in that list, I do not purchase them without
enquiry. & may I venture to suggest that they be added to
Governor Douglas' list & dispatched forthwith as the Judge lays
much stress on having them and without delay.
