Sir,
With reference to your despatch No 166 of the 6th of June I have to acquaint you that the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury have authorized the Paymaster General to accept and pay the Bills drawn upon himforManuscript image for Five thousand two hundred pounds (£5,200) on account of Colonial pay to the Royal Engineers and for One thousand two hundred pounds (£1,200) on account of working pay to the Royal Marines. I shall have occasion to address you in a separate despatch respecting the later charge.
I have also to acknowledge receipt of your despatches No 126 of the 6th and No 139 of the 16th of April and to acquaint you that the Lords CommissionersofManuscript image of the Treasury have apprized me that they have accepted the following Bills drawn by you on account of army services vizt
