Colonel Moody, commanding the Troops in British Columbia, having made Requisition upon me for the sum of about Fourteen Hundred pounds on Military account, as described in the Margin,

I have the honor to acquaint Your Manuscript image Your Grace, that not having funds in the Colonial Chest to meet this demand, I have instructed the Treasurer to procure the above named sum, by Bills on Her Majesty's Paymaster General, and I trust your Grace will be pleased to obtain the necessary authority from the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, for the Bills presented on this account to be paid, when they become Manuscript image become due.
