Not being in possession of the Extradition Treaty of 1842, with the United States of America, I have to request that Your Grace will kindly direct a copy of that document to be forwarded Manuscript image forwarded for my information.

Are copies of Treaties sent to Governor Douglas? They are usually sent to all Governors I think. Can you supply the Treaty now wanted or must we ask the For: Office?

It is the practice to send copies of Treaties to Colonial Governors. I enclose a Copy of the Treaty of 1842, now asked for, together with the Act of Parlt which was transmitted with it, to the Colonies in 1844.
Forward the copy of the Treaty to the Governor together with a copy of the desph sending it.
