My Lord Duke,
I have the honor to acquaint Your Grace that a further sum of Twelve hundred pounds (£1200) is required to make payments on Military account up to the 31st December instant, and that I have authorised the Manuscript image the Treasurer to procure that amount by Bills on Her Majesty's Paymaster General, and I have to request Your Grace will be pleased to obtain the necessary authority from the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury for the Bills presented on this account to be paid when they become due.
