I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you for the information of Her Majesty's Secretary of State for the Colonies that Rear Admiral Sir R. Baynes has reported that upon the departure of the Satellite from Vancouver's Island for England, he had in consequence of a pressing requisition from Governor Governor Douglas Manuscript image Douglas Douglas, ordered the discharge to the Shore of Mr W. Young, in order that he might carry on the duties of Colonial Secretary for British Columbia.
